Camerata and Performing Choir

Dear Sydney AGC Parents,

There’s lots to look forward to in coming weeks and months and we know how busy the end of year can be for families. With the Annual Concert days fast approaching in late October and early November, we are pleased to provide you with all of the information now that you will require about rehearsals and the performance.

There will be a two week holiday break for AGC classes at the end of term 3. The last week of classes for AGC will be held in the week of September 19 for weeknight classes and Saturday September 24 for Saturday classes. We look forward to seeing all our choristers again when term 4 resumes in the week of October 10. All upcoming AGC term dates can be viewed on our website calendar.

We’re so looking forward to our senior choristers showcasing their talents at the senior concerts at the Opera House on October 30 and junior@agc concerts at the Concourse Concert Hall on November 5. We appreciate that these will be 2 big days and hope the girls will find it fulfilling and rewarding. We highly value the role our senior girls play as role models to all junior girls and hope that they will be able to participate in all of the shows. We’re particularly excited to be back at the Opera House for the first time since 2019.

Annual Concert Production Rehearsal

The Annual Concert Production Rehearsal is an opportunity for girls to come together with our professional band to prepare the music and staging for their Annual Concert items.

Dates and Times:

Saturday October 15
Camerata Chatswood arrive: 8.30am Depart: 12.30pm
Camerata Chatswood Danzare Depart: 1.00pm

Camerata Beecroft Danzare Arrive: 12.15pm
Camerata Beecroft arrive: 1.00pm Depart: 5.00pm

Sunday October 16
Performing Choir arrive: 9.45am Depart: 3.00pm
Ballare Depart: 3.50pm
Bel Canto Depart: 4.40pm

Venue:
Mercy College, 99-101 Archer Street, Chatswood

Arrival and Collection:
We recommend parking in Chatswood Chase which has free parking for three hours and walking your daughter to Mercy College. There is no parking available on school grounds.

Arrive to the main school entrance on Archer Street where you will be met by AGC staff.

Full attendance is expected however should your daughter be unable to attend part or all of this rehearsal we would appreciate you completing the online absence notification form so we can pass this information on to the Tutors.

Matinee Concert – commences at 3.00pm
Camerata Beecroft and Performing Choir

Evening Concert – commences at 7.00pm
Camerata Chatswood and Performing Choir

Arrival:
Performing Choir: 8.15am
Camerata Beecroft: 9.00am
Camerata Chatswood: 4.15pm

Collection:
Camerata Beecroft: 4.45pm following the conclusion of the matinee concert
Camerata Chatswood and Performing Choir: 8.45pm following the conclusion of the evening concert

Wear:

AGC uniform with hair done for the performance

Bring:
Water bottle and plenty of food to last the day (please no food deliveries)
Costume pants, jazz shoes, hair and make up accessories including performance hair ribbon
Personal costume for Vogue or Seize the Day
Girls will be handed their performance costume top on concert day.

$64 Adult and $58 Concession / B Reserve All ticket types $56 (restricted viewing)
Matinee: Available for sale from Tuesday October 11 at 1pm.
Evening: Available for sale from Wednesday October 12 at 1pm.

We have included all Sydney Opera House ticketing fees in the final ticket price, however the Opera House charges an additional service fee of $8.50 per transaction (not per ticket).

Sisters in different performances:
Families with sisters who are in separate performances will be eligible for up to 3 complimentary tickets to one performance. We will be in contact by email prior to the ticket on sale date.

Concert Program & Recording:
We will be producing an Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included and it will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10.
Professional footage of the Annual Concerts will be available following the concert day for purchase through an online streaming service. Further details will be provided closer to the concert day. Please note that video and photography is not permitted in the auditorium.

We will be holding three concerts featuring Piccolo and Vivo levels. Camerata and Performing Choir will now be involved in all concerts.

Performing Choir arrive: 8.15am
Camerata arrive: 8.30am
Please arrive to the Level 1 foyer

Collection:
Camerata and Performing Choir: 7.15pm from Level 1 foyer

Wear:
