| View in browser Annual Concert Details   Allegro, Avanti, Prelude and Concert Levels   Dear Sydney AGC Parents,   We have an important update to share about the Annual Concerts at the Opera House on November 26.  We previously provided you with the details for three concerts on this day and we will now be presenting two concerts as a result of some operational changes that sit outside our organisation. We are in the process of overhauling the plans and will communicate all of the details of the new plan to you in the week of October 9. Your daughter will still perform on this day but the concert groupings will change.   We have lots to look forward to and appreciate how busy the end of year can be for families. With this is mind, we are pleased to provide you with information about pre-concert day rehearsals along with general information about preparation for concert day including what to wear and arrangements for families with two or more girls in the choir.   Ahead of all this though, we have a two week holiday break for AGC classes at the end of term 3. The last week of weeknight classes will begin September 18 and Saturday September 23 for Saturday classes. We look forward to seeing all our choristers again when term 4 resumes in the week of October 9. Dates and Times:  Saturday October 28 Allegro from Balgowlah, North Parramatta, Waverley and Willoughby Arrive: 1.30pm Depart: 2.35pm   Allegro from Beecroft, Kellyville, Haberfield, North Ryde and St Ives Arrive: 2.50pm Depart: 3.55pm   All Prelude choristers: Arrive: 4.10pm Depart: 5.30pm  Sunday October 29 Avanti from Beecroft, North Parramatta, North Ryde, Waverley and Willoughby Arrive: 9.00am Depart: 10.05am   Avanti from Balgowlah, Haberfield, Kellyville and St Ives Arrive: 11.35am Depart: 12.40pm   Concert Level from Beecroft, North Parramatta, North Ryde and Waverley Arrive: 10.15am Depart: 11.25am   Concert Level from Balgowlah, Haberfield, Kellyville and St Ives Arrive: 12.50pm Depart: 2.00pm Venue: Mercy College, 99-101 Archer Street, Chatswood. Please arrive to the main school gate on Archer Street for arrival and collection. We suggest parking at Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre next to the school, this is free for up to 3 hours. There is no parking available on school grounds.   Please see the venue map for further details.   Wear: AGC Uniform Bring: All choristers should bring a named water bottle. Prelude and Concert Level should also bring their black jazz shoes. Choristers will not require any food for this rehearsal. Whilst we see this as a valuable chance for the girls to experience concert preparation with the other choristers from their level, we also understand that attendance might not be possible for all families. Please note that girls who are unable to attend will not be disadvantaged and their tutor will ensure that they are adequately caught up in the week following the Production Rehearsal.  Annual Concert   Allegro, Avanti, Prelude and Concert Levels   Date: Sunday November 26 Saturday classes will be held as normal on Saturday November 25 and will be the final class for the year.   Venue: Sydney Opera House, Macquarie Street, Sydney - please see the venue map for arrival and parking details. As mentioned above, we are in the process of confirming schedules for the day and will provide arrival and collection times in early term 4. In the meantime please see more general information about the concert below. Wear: Allegro and Avanti levels dress in all white for this concert. We aim for the girls to be able to comfortably sit, walk up and down stairs and dance so suggest: Knee length or longer dress, skirt or pants and a top, all in white White socks or tights and flat secure shoes in white, black or silver Each year Allegro wear pink sashes and hair ribbons and Avanti wear purple. These are available to purchase for $5 from your Venue Manager.   Prelude and Concert levels should arrive in their AGC uniform of a magenta t-shirt, polar fleece, navy dance pants, black socks, black shoes and hair tied back with pink rehearsal ribbon. They will be provided with a costume top on concert day, which is worn with the AGC rehearsal dance pants and black jazz shoes. The neckline of the costume top requires that girls wear undergarments that are not visible. We therefore ask that all girls wear a white or flesh coloured bra or low neckline singlet – please avoid sports or cross back strap bras as these can be visible. All choristers should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance. Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home. Tickets: $66 Adult and $60 Concession   Tickets will go on sale in the week beginning October 23 and we will provide the specific on-sale date in early term 4.   Sisters in different performances: Families with sisters who are in different performances will be eligible for up to 3 complimentary tickets to one performance. We will be in contact by email prior to the ticket on sale date. Specialist Groups:  Choristers in Cantissimo and Canto will be involved in the same performance as their level group.   Concert Program & Recording: We will be producing an Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included and it will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10.  Professional footage of the Annual Concert will be available for purchase from Commercial Video Productions through this link https://www.cvp.com.au/agc (the password is AGC23).
