Dear Sydney AGC Parents,

We have an important update to share about the Annual Concerts at the Opera House on November 26.  We previously provided you with the details for three concerts on this day and we will now be presenting two concerts as a result of some operational changes that sit outside our organisation. We are in the process of overhauling the plans and will communicate all of the details of the new plan to you in the week of October 9. Your daughter will still perform on this day as well as in our junior@agc Annual Concerts on Saturday November 18 at the Concourse.

We have lots to look forward to and appreciate how busy the end of year can be for families. With this is mind, we are pleased to provide you with information about pre-concert days rehearsals along with general information about preparation for concert day including what to wear.

There will be a two week holiday break for AGC classes at the end of term 3. The last week of classes for AGC will be held in the week of September 18 for weeknight classes and Saturday September 23 for Saturday classes. We look forward to seeing all our choristers again when term 4 resumes in the week of October 9. All upcoming AGC term dates can be viewed on our website calendar.

We’re so looking forward to our senior choristers showcasing their talents at the junior@agc concerts at Concourse Concert Hall on Saturday November 18 and senior concerts at the Opera House on November 26. We appreciate that this makes for two busy weekends and hope the girls will find it fulfilling and rewarding. We highly value the role our senior girls play as role models to all junior girls and hope that they will be able to participate in all of the shows.

Annual Concert Production Rehearsal

Camerata and Performing Choir

The Annual Concert Production Rehearsal is an opportunity for girls to come together to prepare the music and staging for their Annual Concert items.

Dates and Times: 
Saturday October 28
Camerata Chatswood: 9.00am – 12.45pm

Camerata Beecroft: 1.15 – 5.00pm
 
Sunday October 29
Performing Choir: 9.15am – 1.30pm
Ballare: 9.15am – 2.30pm
Bel Canto: 9.15am - 3.10pm

Venue:
Mercy College, 99-101 Archer Street, Chatswood.

Please arrive to the main school gate on Archer Street for arrival and collection. We suggest parking at Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre next to the school, this is free for up to 3 hours. There is no parking available on school grounds.

Bring:
Water bottle and plenty of food to last the day

Full attendance is expected however should your daughter be unable to attend part or all of this rehearsal we would appreciate you completing the online absence notification form so we can pass this information on to the Tutors.

As mentioned above, we are in the process of confirming the schedule for the day and will provide arrival and collection times in early term 4. In the meantime please see more general information about the concert below.

Wear: 

AGC uniform with hair done for the performance

Bring: 

Water bottle and plenty of food to last the day (please no food deliveries)
Costume pants, jazz shoes, hair and make up accessories including performance hair ribbon
Girls will be handed their performance costume top on concert day.

Tickets:
$49 Adult and $43 Concession 

Tickets will go on sale in the week beginning October 23 and we will provide the specific on-sale date in early term 4.

$66 Adult and $60 Concession

Tickets will go on sale in the week beginning October 23 and we will provide the specific on-sale date in early term 4.

Concert Program & Recording:
We will be producing an Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included and it will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10.
