Piccolo and Vivo Levels

Dear Sydney AGC Parents,

We are looking forward to a number of exciting events in the coming months and appreciate how busy the end of year can be for families.

We are still confirming the schedule for our junior@agc Annual Concert at The Concourse on Saturday November 18 and we will communicate all of the details to you in the week of October 9.

In the meantime we are pleased to provide you with information about pre-concert day rehearsals along with general information about preparation for concert day including what to wear and arrangements for families with two or more girls in the choir.

There will be a two week holiday break for AGC classes at the end of term 3. The last week of classes for AGC will be held in the week of September 18 for weeknight classes and Saturday September 23 for Saturday classes. We look forward to seeing all our choristers again when term 4 resumes in the week of October 9. All upcoming AGC term dates can be viewed on our website calendar.

We’re looking forward to returning to the Concourse Concert Hall in Chatswood for our junior@agc concerts on Saturday November 18. Those of you who attended the Winter Showcase Concerts will have experienced this high quality and intimate venue which we believe is ideal for this concert featuring our Piccolo and Vivo choristers.

Annual Concert Production Rehearsal

Piccolo and Vivo Levels

The Annual Concert Production Rehearsal is an opportunity for girls to come together to prepare the music and staging for their Annual Concert items. This rehearsal will replace regular Saturday classes on this weekend.

Times:

Piccolo from Haberfield, St Ives and Kaitlyn Sapsford’s Beecroft Piccolo class:

Arrive: 11.50am Depart: 1.15pm

Vivo from Haberfield and St Ives and Kaitlyn Sapsford’s Beecroft Vivo class:

Arrive: 11.50am Depart: 1.15pm

Venue: 

Mercy College, 99-101 Archer Street, Chatswood.

Please arrive to the main school gate on Archer Street for arrival and collection. We suggest parking at Chatswood Chase Shopping Centre next to the school, this is free for up to 3 hours. There is no parking available on school grounds.

Wear:
AGC Uniform

Bring:
All choristers should bring a named water bottle.

Choristers will not require any food for this rehearsal.

This phone will only be switched on during Production Rehearsal times.

Whilst we see this as a valuable chance for the girls to experience concert preparation with the other choristers from their level, we also understand that attendance might not be possible for all families. Please note that girls who are unable to attend will not be disadvantaged and their tutor will ensure that they are adequately caught up in the week following the Production Rehearsal.

Date: Saturday November 18
The concert will replace regular Saturday Piccolo and Vivo classes on this day.

We will be holding three concerts in one day and girls in our Piccolo and Vivo levels are involved in one concert.

As mentioned above, we are in the process of confirming the schedule for the day and will provide arrival and collection times to you in early term 4. In the meantime please see more general information about the concert below.

Wear:
Piccolo & Vivo levels wear a party dress, or a top with knee to mid-calf length skirt or pants. This can be worn with flat and secure party shoes or sandals of any colour.

Girls should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance. Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home.

Tickets:
$49 Adult and $43 Concession 

Tickets will go on sale in the week beginning October 23 and we will provide the specific on-sale date in early term 4.

Sisters in different performances:
Families with sisters who are in different performances will be eligible for up to 3 complimentary tickets to one performance. We will be in contact by email prior to the ticket on sale date.

Specialist Groups: 
Choristers in Cantini will be involved in the same performance as their level group.
 
Concert Program & Recording:
We will be producing an Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included and it will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10. 

Professional footage of the Annual Concert will be available for purchase from Commercial Video Productions through this link https://www.cvp.com.au/agc (the password is AGC23). Please note that video and photography is not permitted in the auditorium.
