Camerata and Performing Choir

Dear Perth AGC Parents,

We are looking forward to a number of exciting events in the coming months and appreciate how busy the end of year can be for families. With this is mind, while the Annual Concert is not until November, we are pleased to provide you with all of the information now that you will require about rehearsals and the performance.

There will be a two week holiday break for AGC classes at the end of term 3. The last week of classes for AGC will be held in the week of September 18 for weeknight classes and Saturday September 23 for Saturday classes. We look forward to seeing all our choristers again when term 4 resumes in the week beginning October 9. All upcoming AGC term dates can be viewed on our website calendar.

We’re so looking forward to our senior choristers showcasing their talents at the Perth Concert Hall on Sunday November 5. We firmly believe in the many benefits of the girls having the opportunity to perform in premier concert venues.

Annual Concert Production Rehearsal

Camerata and Performing Choir

The Annual Concert Production Rehearsal is an opportunity for girls to come together to prepare the music and staging for their Annual Concert items.

Dates and Times: 
Saturday October 14
Camerata: 9.45am – 2.15pm
 
Sunday October 15
Performing Choir: 9.45am - 12.20pm
Ballare: 9.45am – 12.35pm
Bel Canto: 9.45am – 1.15pm

Venue:
Shenton College, 227 Stubbs Terrace, Shenton Park. Please arrive to the Learning Hub for arrival and collection. Parking is available on school grounds adjacent to the Basketball Court, with entry off Stubbs Terrace.

Wear:
AGC Uniform

Bring:
Substantial snack, water bottle and black jazz shoes

Full attendance is expected however should your daughter be unable to attend part or all of this rehearsal we would appreciate you completing the online absence notification form so we can pass this information on to the Tutors.

Annual Concert

Camerata and Performing Choir

Date: Sunday November 5
Please note we will have two shows running on this day. Camerata and Performing Choir will be involved in both concerts.
 
Venue: Perth Concert Hall, 5 St Georges Terrace, Perth - please see the venue map for arrival and parking details.

Performing Choir arrive: 8.30am
Camerata arrive: 9.15am
All girls depart: 8.40pm following the Evening Concert

Matinee Concert – commences at 2.30pm
Piccolo, Vivo, Allegro, Camerata and Performing Choir

Evening Concert – commences at 7.00pm
Avanti, Prelude, Concert Level, Camerata and Performing Choir

Arrival:
On arrival to the venue please make your way to the arrival desk at the front of the Concert Hall. Audience members should return 20 minutes prior to the performance to take their seat in the auditorium. Each concert runs for 100 minutes without an interval.

Wear:
AGC rehearsal uniform with hair done for the performance
 
Bring:
Water bottle and plenty of food to last the day (please no food deliveries)
Costume pants, jazz shoes, hair and make up accessories including performance hair ribbon
Girls will be handed their performance costume top on concert day.

$61 Adult and $55 Concession
Available for sale from Tuesday October 10 at 12pm through Perth Concert Hall and Ticketmaster.

We have included all Perth Concert Hall ticketing fees in the final ticket price, however the Concert Hall charges an additional service fee of up to $6.60 per transaction (not per ticket).

Concert Program & Recording:
We will be producing an Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included and it will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10. 

Professional footage of the Annual Concert will be available for purchase from Commercial Video Productions through this link https://www.cvp.com.au/agc (the password is AGC23). Please note that video and photography is not permitted in the auditorium.
