The upcoming concerts promise to be a fabulous celebration of the AGC, and we’re so looking forward to all of our girls across the country being involved. We appreciate how busy the end of year can be for families. With this is mind, while the Annual Concert is not until November, we are pleased to provide you with all of the information now that you will require about rehearsals and the performance.

We’re pleased to be returning to the Concourse Concert Hall in Chatswood for our junior@agc concerts on Saturday November 22. For those who have not experienced a concert at this venue before, it is a high quality and intimate venue which we believe is ideal for this concert featuring our Piccolo and Vivo choristers.

Annual Concert Production Rehearsal

Piccolo and Vivo

The Annual Concert Production Rehearsal is an opportunity for girls to come together to prepare the music and staging for their Annual Concert items. This rehearsal will replace all Saturday classes on this weekend.

Piccolo and Vivo from Beecroft, North Ryde and St Ives
8.30 - 10.10am
 
Piccolo and Vivo from Chatswood, Kellyville and Waverley

10.30am - 12.10pm
  
Piccolo and Vivo from Castle Hill, Haberfield and North Parramatta
12.30 - 2.10pm

Mercy College - 99-101 Archer Street, Chatswood

Wear:
AGC Uniform

Bring:
All choristers should bring a named water bottle.
Choristers will not require any food for this rehearsal.

Piccolo and Vivo choristers from Castle Hill, Haberfield and North Parramatta in the Jungle Beats and Animal Feats item should bring their practice sock prop.

Whilst we see this as a valuable chance for the girls to experience concert preparation with the other choristers from their level, we also understand that attendance might not be possible for all families. Please note that girls who are unable to attend will not be disadvantaged and their tutor will ensure that they are adequately caught up in the weeks following the Production Rehearsal. There is no need to let us know if your daughter is unable to attend this event.

Piccolo and Vivo

The concert will replace all regular Saturday classes on this day for Piccolo and Vivo

Venue: The Concourse Concert Hall, 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood - please see the venue map for arrival and parking details.

We will be holding two concerts in one day and girls in our Piccolo and Vivo levels are involved in one concert.

Concert 1 - 1.30pm

Piccolo and Vivo from Castle Hill, Chatswood, North Ryde and St Ives
Piccolo and Vivo from Chatswood arrive: 10.20am

Piccolo and Vivo from North Ryde and St Ives arrive: 10.45am
Piccolo and Vivo from Castle Hill arrive: 11.10am
Girls in concert 1 will be involved in a short onstage rehearsal prior to the concert.
Audience can enter the auditorium from 1.10pm
Concert 1 commences at 1.30pm and runs for 1hr 15mins without an interval.

Concert 2 – 4.30pm

Piccolo and Vivo from Beecroft, Haberfield, Kellyville, North Parramatta and Waverley
Piccolo and Vivo and audience arrive: 3.45pm
Audience can enter the auditorium from 4.10pm.
Concert 2 commences at 4.30pm and runs for 1hr 15mins without an interval.

Arrival:
On arrival to the venue please make your way to the arrival desk in the foyer. Girls will be escorted to their level group by AGC staff where a roll will be marked for attendance.

Wear:
Piccolo & Vivo levels wear a party dress, or a top with knee to mid-calf length skirt or pants. This can be worn with flat and secure party shoes or sandals of any colour.
Girls should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance. Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home.
 
Bring:
Girls in Concert 1: Bring a packed meal that does not require preparation or heating, substantial snack and named water bottle (no food deliveries). We have some choristers who have severe nut allergies and therefore ask that you do not pack any nut based foods, including peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches.
Girls in Concert 2: Bring a named water bottle. Girls in Concert 2 will not require any food on concert day.

Dismissal:
Collection points will be communicated on stage at the conclusion of the performance.

Tickets:

$51 Adult and $46 Concession available for sale from 1.00pm Tuesday October 21.

Easy access ticketing requests for limited steps, wheelchair accessibility, hearing or vision impairments and any other requirements will need to be directed to The Concourse Box Office.

Please note The Concourse charges an additional fee of up to $6.50 when booking online or over the phone.

Sisters in different performances:
Families with sisters who are not performing in a concert together across the two weekends will be offered up to 3 complimentary tickets to one performance. We will be in contact with these families by email prior to the ticket on sale date.

Specialist Groups: 
Choristers in Cantini will be involved in the same performance as their regular venue group.
 
Concert Program & Recording:

An Annual Concert program with all girls’ names included will be available to purchase on Concert Day for $10.

Professional footage of the Annual Concert will be available for purchase from Commercial Video Productions through this link www.cvp.com.au/agc. Enter the password AGC25 and select the city your daughter is enrolled in to place your order. 

It can take up to 30 days following the event to receive your order. All orders are managed directly by Commercial Video Productions and copies of past concerts are available through their site.

Term Dates

There will be a three week holiday break at the end of term 3.

The last week of classes for AGC will be held in the week of September 15 and final Saturday classes will be held on September 20. Term 4 resumes in the week of October 13 and on Saturday October 18 for Saturday classes.
