Parents are welcome to take photographs and footage of the concert however, we ask that you do this discreetly so as not to block the view of other audience members.

Certificate and Medal Presentation

All girls will be presented with a Certificate and Medal in the foyer following the Concert. Parents are welcome to take photos of this exciting moment!

May Open House

Our Open House events on May 23 and 30 give potential new choristers the chance to try an IGC class, take part in an assessment and meet our lovely staff members.

We have found that there is no better way to let other girls 'in on the secret' than word of mouth. Should you wish to recommend the IGC to your friends and family, please encourage them to visit our website below to learn more about our Open House classes!

Re-enrolment

Re-enrolment information will be sent to all families on Monday May 25.

The drop date to notify us if you do not wish to continue is Wednesday June 3. 

Semester 1 runs from August 6 (Thursday classes) and August 8 (Saturday classes) for 17 weeks. 

Girls in Allegro and Avanti have been emailed information about auditions for Performing Choir on Saturday May 16 during your regular class time. Please contact us if you would like to audition.

Times:

Girls will participate in an onstage rehearsal prior to the concert. Please contact the office if your daughter is unable to arrive at the scheduled time.

Performing Choir arrive: 9.45am

Canto arrive: 11.00am

Avanti arrive: 11.15am

Allegro arrive: 11.45am

junior@igc - Astor and East Coast venues: 1.45pm

Audience can enter the auditorium from 3.10pm.

The concert commences at 3.30pm and runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Arrival:

On arrival to the venue please make your way to the arrival desk outside the foyer. Girls will be escorted to their level group by IGC staff where a roll will be marked for attendance. 

Wear and Bring:

junior@igc

• Bring a substantial snack and a named water bottle (please eat lunch before arrival).
• junior@igc from AIS should bring their Beach Towel prop as per previous email communication. 
• Wear their uniform t-shirt with skirt or pants (any colour). Please note that they will be sitting cross legged at some stages during the performance. 
• Flat and secure shoes or sandals of any colour (please do not wear sneakers, slides, flip flops or crocs).
• All girls should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face with their pink hair ribbon, and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance.
• Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home.

Allegro and Avanti

• Bring a packed lunch, snack and a named water bottle.

• Wear their uniform t-shirt with black full length pants or leggings (no jeans please). Please see examples of suitable pants/leggings below.

• Flat and secure shoes or sandals, preferably black in colour (please do not wear sneakers, slides, flip flops or crocs).

• All girls should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face with their pink hair ribbon, and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance.

• Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home.

• Book or quiet activity for break times.

Performing Choir

• Bring a packed lunch, several snacks and a named water bottle.
• Wear their uniform t-shirt and black dance pants.
• Bring their Seize the Day costume and relevant undergarments.
• Flat and secure black shoes suitable for choreography. This could be a black jazz shoe, ballet flat, mary-jane style or school shoe (please do not wear sneakers, sandals, slides, flip flops or crocs).
• All girls should arrive with their hair tied neatly back off their face with their pink hair ribbon, and may like to wear their hair in a special way for the performance.
• Girls don’t wear any jewellery or watches on stage, other than small earrings. We suggest that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home. 
• Book or quiet activity for break times.

Dismissal:

Certificates and medals will be presented in the foyer at the conclusion of the concert in level groups.

AGC Tour Hosting

October 1 - 5

We are excited to welcome our sisters from the Australian Girls Choir (AGC) Touring Choir to Singapore this October. 56 of our most senior performers (aged 14 - 18 years), travelling from cities across Australia, will visit Singapore from October 1 – 5, following their tour of France. We are seeking IGC families who may be able to host two choristers for the four-night stay, providing a bed and a few meals. Previous hosting experiences have created wonderful friendships, meaningful mentorship opportunities, and memorable shared musical moments between AGC and IGC choristers.
